FLORENCE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) softball team suffered a pair of non-conference losses to the 4^th-ranked University of North Alabama (UNA) Lions on Monday afternoon at the UNA Softball Complex, falling by the scores of 13-2 and 10-2.
 
The Lions (26-4) jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the first two innings of the opener as SHC starter Hannah Brenton (12-4) bowed out after two innings with nine hits, two walks and a strikeout. Third baseman Randi DeArmitt collected a pair of hits including a double.
 
Tiffany Hughes (4-3) took the loss in four innings of Game 2 with 13 hits and three walks as left fielder Sarah Johnson crushed her first home run of year in the 4^th inning.
 
The Badgers (18-10) next play on Wednesday, April 4, at the University of West Alabama (UWA) Tigers (12-19) in Livingston, Ala., in a non-conference doubleheader starting at 4 p.m. .
