After the matches, SHC head coach
Shawn Taylor was excited by the performance of his team. "A phenomenal effort today to wrap up our home matches for the season," he said. "We had an opportunity to look at some different pairs along with playing the bulk of our roster over the course of the day. Our team continues to do a great job of adapting to whatever the situation is, but while today was exciting, we still have some goals to accomplish. We are looking forward to our trip to LSU this weekend where we know we will be challenged and have to be ready to compete."
"We are very appreciative of both our opponents for coming out," Taylor added. "Principia continues to improve every year we see them. We are also excited about the addition of William Carey in the college beach landscape."
Taylor was also happy for his upperclassmen. "We got to send our seniors Cat (Milwee) and Julie (Vujnovich) out on two wins," he said. "It's special for us because it marks our first graduating class to play all four years on the beach side of things. They also were a couple of the first players to commit to playing only beach at SHC. They have both been instrumental over the past few years in helping lay a foundation and demonstrate the expectations of what it means to play for the Badger Beach Volleyball program."
The Badgers (7-3) travel to Baton Rouge, La., this weekend to play in the Tiger Beach Challenge hosted by Louisiana State University (LSU) at Mango's Beach Volleyball Club beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday versus the Hatters (10-5) of Stetson University.
