The afternoon contest with the Panthers (13-16, 6-1 SIAC East) saw the Badgers grab a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st inning after freshman second baseman Delaney Thomas lifted a sacrifice fly to left to bring in shortstop Brooke Vosloh.

CU responded in the top of the 4th inning with back-to-back solo homers to centerfield by centerfielder Chelise Morman and third baseman Jada Ames to take a 2-1 lead. SHC picked itself up off the mat in the bottom of the frame with shortstop Hannah Fillmore delivering a one-out double down the left field line that plated Thomas and left fielder Sarah Johnson.
