GULF SHORES, Ala. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) softball team suffered a five-inning 15-0 non-conference loss to the University of North Alabama (UNA) Lions on Sunday afternoon in the final day of the NCAA Division II Gulf Coast Invitational (GCI) at the Sportsplex.
 
Hannah Brenton (2-1) took the loss in 2.1 innings of work with eight hits, no walks and a strike out while Megan Garst earned the win in two innings allowing just one hit and a walk with a strike out. At the plate, SHC collected four hits as the Lions (3-2) pounded out 16 hits on the day.
 
The Badgers (2-3) will next play Columbus State University Cougars (1-1) at the Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) Tournament at the AUM Softball Complex on Friday at 1 p.m.
