FAIRFIELD, Ala. – Miles and Spring Hill colleges have agreed to a Saturday, February 24, resumption of their postponed Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) basketball doubleheader of November 30, 2017. The two schools will play at Knox-Windham Gymnasium with the women's game starting at 2 p.m. followed by the men upon completion of the women's contest.
On November 30, 2017, the Badgers held a 30-24 advantage at halftime of the women's game when the two men's teams took to the court in preparation for their contest that was scheduled to follow the women's game. During those warmups a rim failed and after consultation with the referees and school officials, it was determined that the contests could not continue.
The women's game will start at the beginning of the third quarter with all statistics from the previous date remaining in place. The men's game will be played in its entirety.
The Badger women (14-6, 7-3 SIAC West) and men (7-13, 4-7 SIAC West) continue SIAC play at home on Saturday in the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center versus the Tuskegee University women (3-15, 2-8 SIAC West) and men (4-14, 3-7 SIAC West) beginning with the women's game at 2 p.m. followed by the men's game at 4 p.m.
