Softball completes series sweep at LeMoyne-Owen, 18-4
Box Score MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) softball team completed a three-game Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) series sweep of the LeMoyne-Owen College Lady Magicians at Tobey Field on Sunday morning with an 18-4 five-inning victory.
 
Sophomore Danielle Clark went the first two innings and allowed just one hit and no walks with three strike outs before yielding the circle to Abby Grace Praytor (1-0) who earned her first win in 2.2 innings of work with two hits, a walk and two strike outs.
 
LaNisha Perry took the complete-game loss for the Magicians (3-17, 2-11 SIAC) with 18 hits, five walks and two strike outs.
 
At the plate, six Badgers collected multiple hits as shortstop Carmen Byrd had three safeties with a double and two RBI, center fielder Jenna Charnock also had three hits with a double and an RBI, and right fielder Randi DeArmitt collected three hits with a double and three RBI.
 
Spring Hill (30-15; 17-2 SIAC) will travel to Clinton, Miss., on Wednesday to take on the Mississippi College Choctaws (25-13) in a non-conference double header beginning at 6 p.m.
