Following the match with the Governors, SHC head coach Shawn Taylor said, "It was definitely an adjustment playing indoors. You could tell it took a couple of our pairs a little longer to settle into a rhythm and make the adjustment. Five of our six matches went three sets and we had to dig pretty deep to pull out wins. I think we had a great couple of practices that prepared us well for the mental challenge. I'm incredibly proud of our effort to keep fighting. Senft and Bilotti were down 20-17 in the second set and came back to force a deciding set. They fell behind 8-2 before roaring back to take the victory. In addition to the mental toughness, we are implementing some tactical components we added this week and we've been rewarded frequently with points."

5. Catherine Milwee/Taylor Hurst (SHC) def. Elena Vasquez/Erin Harwood (C-N) 21-10, 21-12

Following the Carson-Newman match Taylor said, "We settled into a good rhythm and were really able to control play at the net. That was due in large part due of our ability to pass and locate quality sets. We are looking forward to returning outdoors tomorrow and hopefully capping off our season on a positive note."

The Badgers (16-16) will close out the 2017 season on Sunday morning versus Lincoln Memorial University (9-11) at 9 a.m. before beginning Bracket Play at 2 p.m. as the Governor Beach Challenge shift venues to Nashville Beach in Nashville, Tenn.
