Box Score 2 GULF SHORES, Ala. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) softball team finished play in the annual Gulf Coast Invitational (GCI) hosted by the University of Mobile at the Sportsplex on Saturday morning with a 1-0 loss to the Avila University Eagles, but bounced back in the second game to rally for a 6-5 victory over the Reinhardt University Eagles.

Danielle Clark (10-6) took the complete-game loss in the first game after Avila (8-4) broke a scoreless tie in the bottom of the 4
th inning with a run-scoring single to left field by left fielder Abby King. Clark allowed five hits with a walk and a strike out while Kayleigh Beheymer (4-1) earned the shut out by scattering four hits with five walks and one strike out.
In the second game, Reinhardt (12-7) held a 4-1 lead heading to the bottom of the 6
th inning when SHC rallied to score five runs off five hits and three Eagle errors to break a three-game losing skid. Catcher

Rene Kausin all had two hits in the second game with Clement picking up two RBI.
Wilson (3-3) would earn the victory in relief of Clark in the 5
th inning and allowed two hits with a walk and two strike outs in 2.2 innings of work. Clark allowed five hits and five walks with three strike outs. Madison Luck fell to 5-3 in the complete-game effort for Reinhardt with 11 hits allowed, no walks and no strike outs.
Spring Hill (15-9, 3-0 SIAC) will host Tuskegee University (0-11, 0-0 SIAC) in a Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) double header on Saturday beginning at noon on Murray Field.
