Badger softball continues to roll at SIAC Crossover with two more wins
Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 JASPER, Ala. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) softball team continued play at the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Divisional Crossover Tournament with a 12-0 victory over the Benedict College Tigers and a 15-1 win over the Paine College Lions on Friday at Memorial Park.
 
Sophomore Danielle Clark (14-6) took the win over the Tigers (10-16, 3-5 SIAC) with four hits allowed, three walks and three strike outs in five innings of work. Spring Hill belted out 15 hits in the contest as six Badgers enjoyed multiple-hit performances led by designated player Sarah Johnson with a 3-for-4 effort and catcher Kali Clement with a Grand Slam home run and a double.
 
Katelyn Wilson (5-3) picked up the win over the Lions (0-7, 0-7 SIAC) with two hits, a walk and 11 strike outs in five innings. The Badgers collected another 18 hits in the nightcap as Clement added her 8th home run of the year while shortstop Carmen Byrd and center fielder Jenna Charnock each had three hits.
 
Spring Hill (22-9, 10-0 SIAC) wraps up play at the SIAC Crossover on Saturday at 12:15 p.m. versus the Albany State University Golden Rams (9-14, 5-2 SIAC) and at 2:30 p.m. versus the Clark Atlanta University Panthers (9-13, 5-1 SIAC).
