Softball finishes series sweep of Tuskegee with 8-0 win
Box Score The Spring Hill College (SHC) softball team finished a three-game series sweep of the Tuskegee University Golden Tigers on Saturday at Murray Field with an 8-0 five-inning shutout.

Spring Hill jumped out to a quick 6-0 lead in the 1st inning before ending the game with a walk-off RBI-single to center with two outs in the 5th inning by second baseman Bayleigh Anders.

Sophomore starter Danielle Clark (12-6) went the distance for the Badgers and allowed the Tigers (0-16, 0-6 SIAC) just two hits with no walks and three strike outs. Acey Spence took the loss in two innings of work with seven hits, two walks and no strike outs.

At the plate, first baseman Madeline Burchell had two hits and two RBI to pace the Badgers.

Spring Hill (18-9, 6-0 SIAC) next begin play in the 2017 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Crossover in Jasper, Ala., at 11 a.m. on Thursday versus Fort Valley State University.
