Box Score The Spring Hill College (SHC) women's basketball team suffered a season-ending 70-65 loss to Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) foe the Lane College Lady Dragons at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center on Thursday evening.

Spring Hill led the Lady Dragons (12-14, 10-6 SIAC West) 29-27 at halftime, but Lane responded with a 10-0 run to open the 3
rd quarter. SHC rallied to twice cut the deficit down to 1 point late in the period, but Lane maintained a 49-45 advantage to open the final 10 minutes of play.

Alishia DraytonLewis would tie the contest at 56-56 with six minutes left on the clock, but two minutes later Lane had rebuilt a 5-point lead at 61-56. The Badgers then clawed back to within a single point at 62-61 with 2:19 showing only to see two jumpers by the Lady Dragons drag the lead back out to 66-61 with 41 seconds left. With 15 seconds left, Drayton-Lewis made two free throws to cut it to a 68-65 Lane cushion and Keyanna Johnson would seal the victory with two free throws on the other end as a final Badger jumper would miss the mark at the 4-second mark.

Freshman guard
Elise Reilly sank three 3-pointers in the game to finish the season with 72 made 3-pointers to set a new Badger season-record in long distance shooting, surpassing the mark of 70 set by Cathy Coxe during the 1989-90 season.

Drayton-Lewis scored 17 points to pace the Badgers on the night while Reilly added 14 points and senior center
Leah Washington contributed 10 points. SHC shot 42.1% (24-57) from the floor and 28.6% (4-14) from 3-point distance and dominated the boards 46-26 in rebounding, but lost 21 turnovers to nine steals by Lane.

Four Lady Dragons reached double-digits in scoring led by Addie McNeely who scored a game-high 18 points. Lane shot 43.3% (26-60) overall and 14.3% (1-7) from 3-point land while losing just six turnovers to two Badger steals.

The Badgers finished the season at 14-12 overall and 8-8 in the SIAC West while Lane will wait to learn their opening round opponent at the SIAC Championship Tournament.
