Box Score FRANKFORT, Ky. –The Spring Hill College (SHC) women's basketball team suffered a 66-58 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) road loss to the Kentucky State University (KSU) Thorobrettes at the EXUM Center on Monday evening.
The Thorobrettes (10-14, 7-9 SIAC West) and the Badgers were tied 25-25 at halftime, but KSU outscored the Badgers 23-11 in the 3
rd quarter and led by as much as 14 early in the 4
th period. A late Badger run cut the deficit down to seven points at 1:21 remaining, but SHC could draw no closer with KSU making 3-of-6 free throws over the final minute of play.

Jewel Hill scored 18 points and freshman forward
Katie Krout added 10 points as SHC shot 35.4% (23-65) from the floor and 37.5 (3-8) from 3-point distance. The Badgers also lost 21 turnovers to 16 steals by the KSU defense.
Aliyah Gipson put 18 points in the rings points for KSU as the Thorobrettes shot a 42.4% (25-59) overall and 10% (1-10) from long distance. KSU lost 23 turnovers to 10 SHC steals, but out-rebounded the Badgers 43-41.
The Badgers (14-11, 8-7 SIAC West) finish the 2016-17 season at home at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday with an SIAC contest versus the Lane College Lady Dragons (10-14, 9-6 SIAC West) at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center. After the game, the Badgers will honor their Senior Class teammates with the annual Senior Night ceremony.
