Box Score The Spring Hill College (SHC) women's basketball team earned a 68-48 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) victory over the LeMoyne-Owen College (LOC) Lady Magicians at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center on Monday evening.
 
Freshman guard 
Elise Reilly sparked the Badgers to an early 18-5 lead over the Lady Magicians (3-18, 3-7 SIAC West) at the end of the 1
st quarter. By halftime, SHC held a 35-13 cushion.
 
It was more of the same in the 2
nd half as Spring Hill took as much as a 28-point margin at 54-26 with 9:25 left in the contest. LOC rallied to shave the deficit down to 56-41 with 4:34 on the clock, but the Badgers answered back with a late 10-2 run that salted away the victory.
 
Reilly finished the night with 16 points for Spring Hill while junior guard 
Jewel Hill added 15 points and nine assists. The Badgers shot 41.9% (31-74) from the floor including 31.3% (5-16) from 3-point land. SHC also committed a season-low seven turnovers against just two steals by the Lady Magicians. The rebounding totals were even with both squads hauling in 47 boards.
 
Spring Hill held LOC to 29.2% (19-65) and 18.8% (3-16) from 3-point distance. The Lady Magicians lost 14 turnovers to nine SHC steals. Charmaine Grays and Teresa May both scored 12 points for the visitors from Memphis, Tenn., as Tenesha Wright contributed 10 points.
 
Spring Hill (11-8, 6-4 SIAC West) next hosts the SIAC West Division leading Central State University (CSU) Lady Marauders (12-4, 7-2 SIAC West) on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.
