Box Score The Spring Hill College (SHC) men's basketball team lost a 67-54 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) home verdict to the Claflin University (CU) Panthers at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center on Monday night.
 
The Panthers (11-4, 6-1 SIAC East) trailed the Badgers 28-27 at halftime, but used a 19-7 run to open the second half and built a 46-35 cushion by the 12:44 mark that they would not relinquish for the rest of the night.
 
Walter Massey scored 14 points for Spring Hill as Brandon Fischer also contributed 10 points. SHC shot 38.8% (19-49) from the field and 16.7% (2-12) from 3-point distance while losing 19 turnovers to nine CU steals.
 
Claflin shot 51.1% (24-47) from the floor and 25% (3-12) from 3-point range while suffering 17 turnovers to six Badger steals. Ryan NcNeil-Moses put 16 points in the hoops for CU while Triston Thompson added 15 and Austin Lawton had 12 points. CU also out-rebounded the Badgers 32-29 under the baskets.
 
The Badgers (3-14, 2-4 SIAC West) next will host the Clark Atlanta University (CAU) Panthers (10-7, 4-2 SIAC East) at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.
