Box Score TUSKEGEE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) men's basketball team finished a three-game road swing with an 85-67 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) loss to the Tuskegee University (TU) Golden Tigers at the General Daniel "Chappie" James Center for Aerospace Science and Health Education on Thursday night.
 
The Golden Tigers (3-12, 2-4 SIAC West) started the game hot from long distance and took an early 18-11 lead that rapidly grew to a 35-21 margin. SHC rallied to cut the deficit down to 35-26, but Tuskegee would carry a 44-32 bulge into the halftime intermission.
 
Spring Hill cut the margin down to seven points to start the 2nd half only to see Tuskegee regroup and build out a 49-35 advantage by the first media timeout of the period. Tuskegee held a 60-48 advantage with 10 minutes left in the game and maintained a double-digit lead throughout the remainder of the contest.
 
Sophomore center Brandon Fischer put 21 points with 10 rebounds on the board to pace Spring Hill while freshman William Loyd added 13 points. The Badgers shot 47.7% (21-47) from the floor and 27.3% (3-11) from 3-point range. TU out-rebounded Spring Hill 36-31, as the Badgers suffered 15 turnovers to six steals by TU. The Golden Tigers lost 10 turnovers to two Badger steals.
 
TU was successful on 45.3% (24-53) of their attempts including 46.2% (12-26) of their 3-point shots. James Eads scored a game-high 26 points with Austin Cherry and Daniel Roach adding 19 and 13 points respectively.
 
The Badgers (3-12, 2-2 SIAC West) next host the Benedict College (BC) Tigers (7-7, 4-2 SIAC East) on Saturday at 4 p.m. in the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.
