Following the day's events, Badger coach Shawn Taylor remarked, "It was a tremendous day for beach volleyball. We got another crack at Tulane early this morning, but we came out a little slow. While we walked away with a loss, Molly and Hannah did a great job of making adjustments on their own. This was a huge step. Due to the rules in beach volleyball, coaches have limited input. It's important that each player learns to function independently so they can continually problem solve.
"Arizona is currently ranked 6th in the country and as a top level opponent they brought out the best in us and we played quality volleyball from top to bottom - perhaps as good as we've played all year. As a coach, you're always frustrated with a loss, but as a fan of the game it was great to sit back and see us compete and work hard."
The Badgers (8-12) will continue play at the Green Wave Invitational on Saturday beginning with a match versus Houston Baptist at 9 a.m.
