Box Score FAIRFIELD, Ala. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) softball team completed a three-game Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) road sweep of the Miles College Lady Bears with a 6-3 victory on Monday morning.
Freshman
Danielle Clark (11-6) went the distance in the win with four hits allowed, two walks and three strike outs. Kendruena McPhereson (2-6) took the loss for the Lady Bears (13-32, 12-6 SIAC) in four innings with seven hits allowed, no walks and no strike outs.
At the plate, shortstop
Carmen Byrd had two hits and two runs scored while catcher
Kali Clement had two hits including her 12
th double of the year to go with two RBI. Third baseman
Rene Kausin slapped a single and her ninth double of 2016.
For Miles, shortstop Victoria McDaniel tallied two hits including a two-run, two double for the Bears in the bottom of the 7
th inning.
Spring Hill (34-14, 21-0 SIAC) will travel to Livingston, Ala., on Wednesday to face the Lady Tigers (16-27) of the University of West Alabama (UWA) in a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m.
