"It was great to get a respected opponent like UAB to come play on our turf," said SHC coach Shawn Taylor. "I want to thank Bailey and the UAB program for giving us the opportunity to share what we've got going on here. The feedback we got was very positive from the opponents and the officials.

"We are also thankful for all the friends and SHC family that we had come out," Taylor continued. "It created a great environment for us. We hope it continues to grow.

We didn't get the result we were hoping for and UAB had a lot to do with that," Taylor commented. "That was the most aggressive serving team we've seen so far this season. I think we are still trying to play perfect volleyball. When we relax and compete, we've demonstrated that we can play at a high standard. With that said, I am very pleased with Katie Beth and Emily for picking up a victory along with Dori and Annie. While we didn't get the team win, we continue to improve everytime out. We're on the cusp of doing some great things."

The Badgers (2-4) will host the University of North Florida Ospreys (3-2) and the Principia College Panthers on Wednesday, March 16, at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. at the Jim and Betty Walsh Beach Volleyball Facility.
