"We were very happy to get these matches under our belt today," said SHC coach Shawn Taylor. "Each opportunity provided a different problem and we had to adapt our style of play. Against MBU the wind was strong and we came out a little tight. They are a good first-year program that will no doubt get better, but we had a little more experience that I think gave us the advantage.

"During the SU match the wind calmed down," Taylor continued. "We were a little conservative on our second contact and it allowed Stetson to be the aggressor. While the result of the second match wasn't in our favor, overall I'm pleased with our effort and we're getting better with every opportunity."

The Badgers (1-1) will continue play in the Invitational on Saturday.
