"We were very pleased with our effort today," said SHC coach Shawn Taylor. "It's hard to play five matches in a weekend especially our first time out of the shoot this year. We had a great chance to earn a team victory against Eckerd in the first match today. We had two pairs go down to a deciding set, lost the coin flip and had to start of the bad side. The ladies rebounded nicely against Carson-Newman, however. We're very proud that we continued to work and pulled out the victory."

The Badgers (2-3) will host the University of Alabama Birmingham (UAB) Blazers on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Jim and Betty Walsh Beach Volleyball Facility on the SHC campus.
