METAIRIE, La. – The Spring Hill College (SH) beach volleyball team suffered a pair of 5-0 losses to the Louisiana State University (LSU) Tigers and the host Tulane (TLN) University Green Wave on Saturday at the 2016 Pelican Classic held at the White Sands Volleyball Complex.

SHC coach Shawn Taylor said following the match, "Obviously getting swept in both matches was not the goal, but I thought we battled well with LSU across the board and had good opportunities.

"Weather was a factor against Tulane. The wind and rain made it a challenge for both teams. Tulane was much better at adapting their play. We're still learning how to adapt our style of play as the conditions change."

The Badgers (4-8) will next play at the Dolphins of Jacksonville University (Fla.) in a rare doubleheader on Tuesday at 2 and 4:30 p.m.
