Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Badger senior right-hander Caroline Sagrera pitched her eighth career no-hitter as the Spring Hill College (SHC) softball team swept a Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) doubleheader from the Lane College Lady Dragons by the scores of 16-0 and 17-0 at Murray Field on Sunday afternoon.

In the opener, Sagrera faced just 16 batters and struck out 14 Lady Dragons (7-3, 3-3 SIAC) while allowing just one batter to reach base off an infield error in the 4th inning in route to her eighth career no-hitter - her first of the 2016 season. Freshman left fielder Nikki Bryars had three hits and three stolen bases in the game while first baseman Madeline Burchell collected two hits with six RBI.

Brittany McElvain (6-2) of Lane took the complete-game loss with 12 hits allowed, four walks and a strike out.

In Game 2, freshman Danielle Clark (5-4) pitched a two-hitter over five innings and surrendered three walks with nine strike outs. Nautica Huddleston (1-2) suffered the loss for Lane in 2.2 innings with 11 hits, two walks and no strike outs.

Freshman catcher Kali Clement had two hits with a 3-run home run and six RBI while right fielder Katelyn Wilson had two hits with a solo home run. Designated player Randi DeArmitt added three hits and two RBI.

Spring Hill (14-10, 3-0 SIAC) will finish this three-game series with Lane College with a 9 a.m. single game on Monday at Murray Field.
