Caroline Sagrera pitched her eighth career no-hitter as the Spring Hill College (SHC) softball team swept a Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) doubleheader from the Lane College Lady Dragons by the scores of 16-0 and 17-0 at Murray Field on Sunday afternoon.
In the opener, Sagrera faced just 16 batters and struck out 14 Lady Dragons (7-3, 3-3 SIAC) while allowing just one batter to reach base off an infield error in the 4th inning in route to her eighth career no-hitter - her first of the 2016 season. Freshman left fielder

Madeline Burchell collected two hits with six RBI.
Brittany McElvain (6-2) of Lane took the complete-game loss with 12 hits allowed, four walks and a strike out.
In Game 2, freshman
Danielle Clark (5-4) pitched a two-hitter over five innings and surrendered three walks with nine strike outs. Nautica Huddleston (1-2) suffered the loss for Lane in 2.2 innings with 11 hits, two walks and no strike outs.
