LEXINGTON, Ky. – On Saturday, the Spring Hill College (SHC) Bowling Badgers travelled bowled at the 2016 Morehead State University (MSU) Eagle Classic at Eastland Lanes.
Bowling on a 36 flat pattern for the one day tournament, the women's team was led by
Chianne Laiwa from Sunnyvale, Calif., who finished in 19th place with a pin fall of 889 to average 178 over five individual games.
Miranda Singer from Columbus, Ohio, finished in 20th place with a pin fall of 888 to average 178 for five individual games. Also battling the lanes was
Darian Miller from Slidell, La., who finished 21st with a total pin fall of 885 to average 177.
Representing the men's team,
Jackson Harris from Dothan, Ala., averaged 197 with a total pin fall of 989 to finish 15th over five individual games.
Ryan Hauck from Pen Argyle, Pa., averaged 193 with a total pin fall of 963 to finish 25th over five individual games.
The men's Bowling Badgers competed vigorously and finished 6th out of 14 teams, throwing 6847 pins over 25 individual games and 12 baker games to average 185 as a team. SHC came behind Lindenwood University (LU) who took first place followed by MSU, Martin Methodist College (MMC), Huntington University (HU) and Emmanuel College (EC).
The SHC women's team also finished 6th out of 14 competitors. The team had a one day total pin fall of 6377 over 25 individual games and 12 baker games to average 172 as a team. The Badgers finished behind EC who took home the championship, followed by Ursuline College (UC), LU, HU and University of Cumberlands (UC).
