Thorobrettes buck Badgers, 78-72 in overtime
Box Score FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) women's basketball team lost5 a 78-72 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) West Division outcome in overtime to the Kentucky State University (KSU) Thorobrettes at the Exum Cneter on Saturday afternoon.

The Thorobrettes (16-3, 11-2 SIAC West) trailed the Badgers 28-24 at halftime, but rallied to send the game into overtime at 67-67. The home team won the extra period 11-5 for the important divisional victory.

Junior forward Alishia DraytonLewis and sophomore guard Amee Smith each scored 15 points for SHC while junior center Leah Washington added 12 points and junior forward Camry Johnson hauled in 10 rebounds.

Spring Hill shot a workmanlike 51% (26-51) from the floor and 30% (3-10) from 3-point range. The Badgers took a 36-34 edge in the rebounding numbers, but lost 32 turnovers to 15 KSU steals that turned into 32 points for the home team.

Jamesha Mosley scored a game-high 20 points for the Thorobrettes while Logan Powell pitched in 13 points. KSU lost 22 turnovers to nine Badger steals.

The Badgers (8-14, 6-7 SIAC West) will closeout this two-week, four game road swing in Jackson, Tenn., on Monday evening with an SIAC match at the Lane College Dragons (3-18, 3-9 SIAC West) beginning at 5:30 p.m.
