Badgers can't saddle Thorobreds
Box Score FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) men's basketball team lost an 80-70 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) road decision to the Kentucky State University (KSU) Thorobreds at Exum Center on Saturday evening.

KSU held a slim 45-44 advantage at the halftime intermission, but pulled away to outscore SHC 35-36 in the second half.

Freshman guard Sawyer Glick had 24 points to pace the Badgers while junior center Dejan Stefanovic added 10 points and freshman forward Chase Shellman hauled down 10 rebounds for the game-high in that category.

Spring Hill shot 41% (25-61) for the game including 30% (6-20) from 3-point range. The Badgers dominated the boards with a 48-34 advantage in rebounding, but also suffered 19 turnovers to nine KSU steals that resulted in 18 points for the home team.

For the Thorobreds (10-9, 8-6 SIAC West), William Bryant dropped 24 points into the baskets and Julius Barton contributed 17 points. KSU blocked four shots and lost just eight turnovers to four Badger steals.

The Badgers (7-15, 6-8 SIAC West) will wrap up this two-week, four game road swing with a conference game at the Lane College Dragons (13-10, 9-4 SIAC West) in Jackson, Tenn., at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
