Box Score The Spring Hill College (SHC) softball team earned a 2-0 non-conference victory over the University of Mobile (UM) Lady Rams at Murray Field on Wednesday afternoon.

SHC scored twice on the Lady Rams (8-2) in the bottom of the 2nd inning off a two-out infield error and then held off a bases-loaded with two outs situation in the 7th inning as the Lady Rams popped out to shortstop to end the game.

Badger senior starting pitcher Caroline Sagrera (4-5) went the distance for the win with just three hits allowed, a walk and 10 strike outs.

Mobile's Makayla Scott (2-1) took the loss with three hits, three walks and four strike outs.

Freshman catcher Kali Clement had a double for the Badgers for the only extra base hit of the day for either team.

The second game of the doubleheader was cancelled by mutual agreement of the head coaches.

Spring Hill (7-8) will next visit the William Carey University Lady Crusaders (2-4) in a non-conference doubleheader on Tuesday, March 1, at 1 p.m. in Hattiesburg, Miss.
