Box Score The Spring Hill College (SHC) men's basketball team rallied from a 15-point deficit in the 1st half, but suffered a 61-59 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) home loss to the Central State University (CSU) Marauders on Thursday night at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.
The Marauders (10-13, 8-8 SIAC West) led the Badgers 33-20 at the intermission, but Spring Hill fought back to tie the game at 52-52 with 3:46 remaining. Two free throws with 19 seconds left by sophomore
Walter Massey tied the game again at 59-59, but CSU would answer with two free throws by Sterling Gilmore with 5 seconds left to take a 66-64 lead. Two Badger turnovers would sandwich two missed CSU free throws in the final five seconds to secure the victory for the visitors from Ohio.

Quinn Sutton both scored 12 points for the Badgers who shot 42% (21-50) from the field and 34.8% (8-23) from 3-point range. SHC lost 14 turnovers to nine CSU steals and was out-rebounded 33-32 by the Marauders.
Jeremy Brown of CSU led all scorers with 23 points while Tre' Edwards pitched in 15 points. The Marauders shot 45.1% (23-51) from the floor and 35.3% (6-17) from long distance while suffering 12 turnovers to three SHC steals.
The Badgers (7-18, 6-11 SIAC West) will host the Kentucky State University Thorobreds (11-11, 9-7 SIAC West) on Saturday beginning at 2 p.m. in the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center. Before the game, Spring Hill will honor their Senior Class teammates with the annual Senior Day ceremony.
