The Spring Hill College (SHC) women's tennis team suffered a 9-0 non-conference home loss to the University of Montevallo Lady Falcons on Saturday afternoon at the Copeland-Cox (Mobile) Tennis Center.

Despite a furious rally on the No. 1 court by Maria Hastings Oro and Madison Artigues to force tiebreaker play, the Badgers trailed the Lady Falcons (1-0) by a 3-0 score after doubles play and could not right the ship in singles play, falling on all six courts.

Spring Hill (0-1) will next travel to Tuscaloosa on Friday to face the Stillman College Lady Tigers in a Southern States Athletic Conference (SIAC) match beginning at 4 p.m.
