Box Score ATLANTA, Ga. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) men's basketball team lost a 63-58 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) interdivisional verdict at Morehouse College in Forbes Arena on Thursday night.
After a first half dominated by defense, the Badgers held a slim 31-28 lead over the Maroon Tigers (8-5, 4-4 SIAC East) by shooting 39.4% (13-33) overall and limiting their turnovers to just four in the first 20 minutes.
Morehouse found their range in the second half, however, and shot a healthy 56% (14-25) from the field to wrest away the lead and hold on for a 63-58 win.
As a team, SHC shot 36.5% (23-63) overall on the night while draining 26.7% (4-15) of their 3-points attempts. The Badgers committed seven turnovers against four steals by the Tigers and out-rebounded Morehouse 38-37 under the baskets.
For the home-standing Tigers, Morehouse was successful on 49% (25-51) of their shots from the floor including 31.6% (6-19) of their shots from 3-point range. Morehouse also lost seven turnovers to four Badger steals and hurt itself by shooting just 31.8% (7-22) in free throws attempts while SHC completed 83.3% (5-6) from the charity stripe.

Jack Morrissey added 12 points and Morehouse's Ayinde Russell had a game-high 24 points.
After a two-week, four-game road swing, the Badgers (5-11, 4-5 SIAC West) finally return home on Saturday afternoon for a 4 o'clock tilt with the SIAC West Division leading Stillman College Tigers (10-5, 6-1 SIAC West) at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.
