MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) women's tennis team accepted an 8-1 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) loss to the Tuskegee University Tigerettes at the Huntingdon College Tennis Courts on Sunday morning.

The Badgers trailed the Tigerettes 3-0 after doubles play and only avoided a 9-0 sweep when senior Allison Gmelich clawed out a 6-4, 6-4 victory on the No. 6 singles court.

Spring Hill (5-7, 3-5 SIAC) will host the Missouri Baptist University Spartans (1-3) at 2 p.m. and the University of Mobile Lady Rams (4-4) at 6 p.m. on Tuesday with both non-conference matches to be held at the Mobile Tennis Center.
