BATON ROUGE, La. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) sand volleyball team took a hard-fought 4-1 victory over the University of New Orleans (UNO) Privateers and fell 5-0 to the Louisiana  State University (LSU) Tigers on Saturday at the 2015 Tiger Sand Tournament hosted by LSU at Mango Beach Volleyball Complex.

The opening match saw Spring Hill take wins on Courts 1, 3, 4 and 5, but fall on the No. 2 court with two Sandy Badger victories coming in tie-breaker third sets.

In the second contest, the Sandy Badgers (2-6) fell to the host LSU squad in a 5-0 sweep.

SHC will continue play in the singles bracket elimination tournament at the 2015 Tiger Sand Tournament hosted by LSU on Sunday.
