Box Score JACKSON, Tenn. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) softball team completed a three-game sweep of Lane College with a 13-0 five-inning victory over the Lady Dragons at Fesmire Field on the Union University campus on Saturday morning.

Badger starter Caroline Sagrera (17-3) struck out 12 batters and surrendered just one hit with one walk.

The Spring Hill offense erupted for seven runs in the 1st inning and six runs in the 4th frame as freshman infielder Carmen Byrd had three hits and an RBI and senior third baseman Emma Kittrell had two triples and six RBIs.

Brittany McElvain took the loss for Lane with just one inning of work eight hits allowed, no walks and a strikeout. Shawnae Campbell finished the final four innings for the Lady Dragons with seven hits allowed, no walks and two strikeouts.

Spring Hill (23-4, 10-0 SIAC) will next host the University of North Alabama (UNA) Lions (22-5) on Tuesday at Murray Field beginning at 12 p.m.
