Box Score TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) men's basketball team battled to a 75-67 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) road loss to the Stillman College Tigers on Monday night in Birthright Alumni Hall.
Spring Hill took a 13-11 lead at 13:44 of the 1st half when freshman guard
Jack Morrissey drained a 3-pointer over the SIAC West Division leading Tigers' (16-8, 12-5 SIAC West) defense. From there the score was back-and-forth with neither team gaining more than a 2-point advantage until Stillman clawed out a 36-30 lead over the final minute of the half.
The Badgers kept within five points for the first 8 minutes of the 2nd half, but Stillman began to inch ahead over at the 10 minute mark and held a 59-49 advantage with 7 minutes left in the contest.
A fourth 3-pointer by Morrissey with 4:36 showing brought the Badgers back within five points at 61-56 and by the 2 minute mark SHC had cut the Stillman lead down to 64-61. The Tigers would drain 7-of-8 free throws over the final 50 seconds, however, to seal the victory.

Dejan Stefanovic had 15 points to lead the Badger charge while Morrissey had 12 points and senior guard
Robert Drummond scored 11 points. Spring Hill made 55.1% (27-49) of its shots from the field and 50% (7-14) of its 3-point attempts, but was out-rebounded by the Tigers in a 30-22 margin. The Badgers also turned the ball over 14 times versus seven steals by Stillman.
The Tigers sank 50% (25-50) of their shots from the floor and 33.3% (6-18) of their 3-point shots while losing 10 turnovers to six steals by the Badgers. Markeith Madison led all scorers with 25 points while Rodnerius Lewis added 22 more points for Stillman.
Spring Hill (8-17, 7-9 SIAC West) returns home to begin its final three-game series of the year on Thursday night at 8 p.m. versus the Kentucky State University Thorobreds (8-15, 6-10 SIAC West) in the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.
