Box Score TUSKEGEE, Ala. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) women's basketball team earned their third consecutive victory on Thursday evening with a 66-53 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) West Division road win over the Tuskegee University Tigerettes in Chappie James Arena.

Spring Hill raced out to a 31-18 lead on the Tigerettes (2-19, 2-12 SIAC West) at halftime and never looked back in the 2nd half as Tuskegee could get no closer than nine points at 38-29 with 13:29 left on the clock.

Senior forward Twarner Witherspoon scored her career-high of 20 points to pace the Badgers while fellow senior guard Elissa VandeWaa added 16 points and sophomore forward Camry Johnson dropped in another 14 points. SHC shot 41.1% (23-56) from the field and 35.3% (6-17) in 3-point attempts while out-rebounding the Tigerettes 34-31. The Badgers lost 16 turnovers to nine Tuskegee steals.

For the Tigerettes, Demetries McNealey scored a game-high 21 points as the home team shot 37% (20-54) overall and 16.7% (1-6) from beyond 3-point distance. Tuskegee lost 20 turnovers to 12 Badger steals.

The Badgers (12-10, 8-5 SIAC West) finish their 2014-15 road campaign on Monday when they travel to the Stillman College Lady Tigers (7-15, 7-7 SIAC West) in Tuscaloosa for a 5:30 p.m. contest at Birthright Alumni Hall.
