Box Score The Spring Hill College (SHC) men's basketball team took a heart-breaking 84-83 non-conference loss in two overtimes to the Alice Lloyd College Eagles on Wednesday night at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.
The Eagles (5-7) grabbed a 37-29 lead at halftime, but the Badgers stormed back from a 10-point deficit at 60-50 with just 5:07 left on the clock to send the game into the first overtime tied at 63-63 when freshman guard
Sawyer Glick nailed an off-balance 3-pointer from the far left baseline corner with one second left on the clock.
In the first OT, the Eagles provided their own heroics when guard Austin Crisp scored in the paint off an offensive rebound of a missed 3-point attempt with just .8 seconds showing to knot the game at 76-76.

Matevz Rojc from the top of the key tied the second overtime at 83-83 with 28 seconds on the clock, but the Eagles milked the clock down to two seconds remaining when forward Shane Hall then made his move to the basket and earned a foul by Rojc. Hall missed the front end, but made the second attempt for the game winner as a final long in-bound attempt by SHC was intercepted by forward Tyler Rogers at midcourt.
Spring Hill shot 42.5% (31-73) from the field including a 35.3% (6-17) effort from 3-point distance. Glick scored 21 points to lead the Badger while junior center

Jarrett Calhoun each added 10 points to the Spring Hill cause. SHC lost 20 turnovers to 11 Eagle steals that turned into 22 points for Alice Lloyd on the other end, but won the battle for rebounds by a 42-33 margin. Sophomore
Walter Massey tallied a game-high 10 rebounds.
The Eagles shot 55.1% (27-49) with a 38.9% (7-18) showing from behind the arc. Cody Stumbo scored 21 points highlighted by a 9-for-9 night at the free throw line. Rogers added 16 for the visitors while Hall pitched in 14 points, Mason Pack put in 13 points, and Crisp had 10 points. The Eagles lost 27 turnovers to 14 steals that SHC converted into 31 points.
The Badgers (1-8) will now take a two-week break for Christmas before returning to the court on Wednesday, December 30, for an exhibition contest at NCAA Division 1 opponent the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns (3-5) at the Cajundome in Lafayette, La., beginning at 7:05 p.m.
