Box Score The Spring Hill College (SHC) women's basketball team suffered a 57-44 non-conference home loss to the University of West Florida (UWF) Lady Argos at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center on Tuesday night.
Spring Hill jumped out to a 4-0 lead over the Lady Argos (1-2) in the first minute of play, but never again held the lead as UWF launched an 11-0 run and built as much as a 15-point advantage at 29-14 with 3:22 to play in the 2nd period.

Camry Johnson to open the second half and cut it down to a 30-25 UWF lead, but the Lady Argos would stretch out a 42-31 cushion before the end of the third period. SHC once again got within six points at 46-40 with 8:24 showing on the clock in the fourth period, but could pull no closer.
Johnson recorded a double-double for the Badgers with 10 points and 11 rebounds, but overall SHC shot just 31.5% (17-54) on the night including 10% (1-10) from long distance with a 50% (9-18) effort at the free throw line. The Badger turned the ball over 15 times against five UWF steals and were out-rebounded 57-44.
For the visitors from Pensacola, Jasmine Wigfall scored 15 points as Toni Brewer collected 14 points with 10 rebounds and Katie Bobos added 13 points. Kelly Preston hauled down 13 rebounds and blocked three shots. UWF lost 19 turnovers as the Badgers took away 12 steals. From the floor, West Florida shot 36.7% (22-60) with a 28.6% (2-7) night from the 3-point arc and made 68.8% (11-16) of their free throws.
The Badgers (1-3) will open the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) portion of their schedule on Thursday, December 3, by hosting the Tuskegee University Tigerettes (1-3) at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center at 5:30 p.m.
