Badger Bowling rolls in Arkansas
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Spring Hill College (SHC) Badger bowling teams competed in the Southwestern Intercollegiate Bowling Conference (SWIBC) II tournament at Ozark Lanes on Saturday and Sunday.
 
Representing the women's team, Chianne Laiwa from Sunnyvale, Calif., qualified first for the All-Tournament team with a total pin fall of 939 for five games to average 188. Qualifying second for the All-Tournament team was Adriana Sheck from Germantown, Md., with a total pin fall of 922 for five games to average 184. Qualifying third for the All-Tournament team was Stephanie Latuso from Mobile, Ala., with a total pin fall of 912 for five games to average 182. Also qualifying fifth for the All-Tournament team was Miranda Singer from Columbus, Ohio, with a total pin fall of 875 for five games to average 175.
 
Representing the men's team, Jackson Harris from Dothan, Ala. qualified second for the All-Tournament team with a total pin fall of 999 to average 200.
 
The tournament consisted of five individual games and 16 Baker games contributing to total pin fall for the event. The Spring Hill College women's varsity team placed first in the tournament beating the competition of West Texas A&M.
 
The women's junior varsity placed third in the tournament sweeping over West Texas A&M junior varsity for total pin fall.
 
The men's varsity team competed against 11 different schools, which consisted of 17 other teams including varsity and junior varsity squads. The Spring Hill College men's bowling team placed first for the tournament triumphing over West Texas A&M and Louisiana State University.
 
Spring Hill will next roll on Sunday in Gainesville, Fla. hosted by the University of Florida.
