Box Score ATLANTA, Ga. – The Spring Hill College (SHC) men's basketball team lost a Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) road contest to the Morehouse College Maroon Tigers by a score of 59-38 on Monday night at Frank L. Forbes Arena.
The Maroon Tigers (5-4, 2-0 SIAC East) held the Badgers to a season-low eight points in the 1st half to take a 29-8 lead into the locker rooms at intermission and built as much as a 23-point lead at 52-29 with three minutes to go in the game.
Freshman guard
James Clarke scored 10 points to lead the Badgers as SHC shot 29.6% (16-54) from the floor and were just 3-of-14 (21.4%) in 3-point attempts. Spring Hill was out-rebounded 40-39 and lost 15 turnovers to 10 steals.
Morehouse was paced by Bryan Thomas with 16 points and Tyrone Brown with 12 rebounds. The Tigers were 37% (20-54) overall from the field and 38.9% (7-18) from 3-point land while turning the ball over just eight times against five steals by SHC.
Spring Hill (1-10, 0-2 SIAC West) will host SIAC opponent the Fort Valley State University Wildcats (0-8, 0-1 SIAC East) at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
