Badger tennis men open DII era with 6-3 win over Stillman
The Spring Hill College men's tennis team opened the 2015 season with a 6-3 conference victory over Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) opponent Stillman College on Friday afternoon at the Mobile Tennis Center.

The Badgers (1-0; 1-0 SIAC) led the Tigers (0-1; 0-1 SIAC) by a score of 2-1 after doubles play with a loss on the No. 1 Court and earned a 4-2 score in singles play with the only losses coming on Courts Nos. 2 and 3. The match-clinching 5th point came when freshman Nick Cruz of Foley, Ala., earned a 6-4, 6-0 victory in his debut collegiate tennis event.

Spring Hill next plays a non-conference match versus the University of North Alabama Lions on Saturday, February 14, at 11 a.m. in Pensacola, Fla.
