Box Score The Spring Hill College (SHC) men's basketball team earned a 63-51 home victory over Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) opponent Miles College on Monday night at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.
The Golden Bears (1-14, 0-8, SIAC West) and the Badgers fought tooth-and-nail throughout the 1st half with Miles holding a 10-6 lead 5½ minutes into the game, but the Badgers clawed out a 27-25 lead at the intermission.
Spring Hill scored the first seven points of the 2nd half and never looked back from there, leading by as much as 12 points at 50-38 with 3:02 left to play.

Jack Morrissey led the way with 13 points for the Badgers as senior guard
Robert Drummond added 11 points. Spring Hill shot 40.9% (18-44) from the floor and 25% (5-20) in 3-point attempts while losing 14 turnovers to nine steals by Miles. The Badgers took home a 33-26 advantage in rebounding.
Miles shot 34.8% (16-46) on the night with 25% (4-16) of their 3-point attempts finding the bottom of the nets. The Golden Bears lost 16 turnovers to five steals by Spring Hill.
Spring Hill (5-12, 4-4 SIAC West) will be back on the road on Thursday night for a 7:30 p.m. game with the Kentucky State University Thorobreds (4-9, 4-4 SIAC West) at the Exum Center in Frankfort, Ky.
