Badgers bow to Tigerettes, 60-44
Box Score The Spring Hill College (SHC) women's basketball team saw its two-game winning streak snapped in a Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) loss to the Benedict College Tigerettes by the score of 60-44 on Saturday afternoon at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.

The Tigerettes (8-4, 3-1 SIAC East) held a 37-19 cushion at halftime and kept the Badgers at arm's length for the 2nd half with Spring Hill only managing to whittle the score down to 41-30 with 11 minutes left. Benedict responded with its own run to rebuild a 53-34 advantage with 6:30 remaining.

Sophomore forward Alishia Drayton scored eight points for SHC and sophomore center Leah Washington hauled in 12 rebounds as the Badgers shot 34.6% (18-52) from the field and 17.6% (3-17) from 3-point distance. SHC suffered 18 turnovers versus 10 steals by Benedict.

The Tigerettes saw Kadeeja Vaughn socre 13 points and Ta'narnia Chisley drop in 11 points for the visitors from Columbia, S.C. Benedict shot 36.5% (19-52) overall including 33.3% (5-15) in 3-point attempts. The Tigerettes took down 39 rebounds while SHC corralled 38 boards.

Spring Hill (5-6, 2-1 SIAC West) closes out its current 3-game home stand on Monday by hosting SIAC opponent the Albany State University Golden Rams (2-7, 1-1 SIAC East) at 6 p.m. in the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.
