The Wolf Pack (18-9, 12-5 SSAC West) used a 6-0 run to turn a 17-17 tie into a 23-17 game with six minutes to go in the 1st half. By halftime Loyola held a 34-21 advantage.
With 10 minutes left in the contest, Loyola maintained a 50-33 lead and expanded that lead to 63-41 with two minutes remaining in the game.
Guard Armanee' Broussard led Spring Hill with 11 points and forward Corinne Missi (FR, Yaounde, Cameroon) hauled down 11 rebounds. SHC shot 28.1% (18-64) overall from the floor and 21.9% (7-32) from 3-point distance. The Badgers turned the ball over 20 times against seven steals by Loyola and were out-rebounded by the Wolf Pack by a 42-40 margin.
Loyola was led by guard Janeicia Neely with 19 points and Caroline Gonzalez added 10 more for the Wolf Pack. The Wolf Pack shot 43.4% (23-53) from the field including 46.2% (6-13) from behind the arc. Loyola committed 19 turnovers against eight steals by Spring Hill.
The Badgers (5-20, 2-15 SSAC West) will host the Martin Methodist College RedHawks (20-7, 12-5 SSAC West) on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.
