The Fighting Saints (8-1) fought back from a 13-point 32-19 deficit three minutes into the second half to tie the game at 39-39 off a Zach Taylor jumper with five minutes remaining in regulation.
A 3-pointer by Zayn Kirkendoll of the Saints with three seconds left put Carroll up 50-48, but Badger senior forward

Jarrett Calhoun of Linden, N.J., off an inbounds play under the left of the basket that began with just .4 seconds left on the clock.

James Clarke of Winnetka, Ill., added 11 points. As a team, SHC shot 41.1% (23-56) including 30% (6-20) in 3-point attempts. The Badgers took away eight steals as the Saints committed 15 turnovers. Spring Hill also controlled the boards with a 37-26 edge in rebounding.
The difference in the game came at the free throw line where Carroll drained 25 of 30 attempts and SHC connected on 10-of-15 from the charity stripe. The Saints put four players into double figures with Taylor leading the way with 26 points. Carroll was 40.4% (19-47) from the floor with a 50% (6-12) effort from long distance and took home 16 steals as the Badger turned the ball over a total of 24 times.
