A freshman middle distance runner on the women’s track & field team from St. Louis, Mo, Hantak won the 3000-meter Steeplechase at the Mississippi College Season Opener in Clinton on Saturday in a time of 12:12.40. Winning by more than 7 seconds over the nearest competitor, Hantak earned the first victory in Steeplechase for the Badger women’s track program in its three-year history.
