Bretz, a freshman right-hander from River Ridge, La., pitched a complete-game, two-hit shutout against Miles College on Friday night as the Badgers took a 10-0 victory over the Golden Bears. For the season, Bretz holds a 1.64 ERA in 60.1 innings pitched with a 6-1 record, one save and 62 strike outs.
