Root, a sophomore on the men’s Track and Field team from Baton Rouge, La., posted his third consecutive winning performance in the javelin with a school record 61.17 meter toss at the Emory University Invitational in Atlanta, Ga., tying the 4th best throw in NCAA Division II so far this season.
